Thanks Carol, good blog.

I will say though, that Chicago finished bottom of the league to draft their top players, but yes they are doing a great job of drafting and developing higher picks.

True. I wasn't referring to Kane, Toews etc—only to this new group that is filling the holes that keep getting left in the roster when they have to move out players to stay cap compliant.

Chicago seems to be doing a better job than other top teams of continuing to draft and develop successfully.

How drunk was Vintage last night. If Edler puts Hinostroza on his ass that goal does not happen

Quote deal not working..

Agree with Makita 100%.

All the chicago young guys seem have all found fits in various roles.

Almost similar to when vancouver was in its prime with the twins.

Bo looks very good. Really wish they would give him more time and in key situations. Sedins on the PP perhaps. I wonder if he will continue to trend up ward like schiefle in the peg.

Hear a lot of mixed reviews on the draft...sounds like it has less high end talent than last year but better depth

I sure hope we can find a top 3 forward. If we are going to be bad at least make it worth while

I do hope Canucks trade for a top 6 LW this year. Sven is useless. . Draft a high ranked forward and hope Boeser is ready for top nine next year. Phase 1

I hope they keep who they have, why bother trading assets, Sven might be useless but he's essentially free. Worry about the top 6 in the off-season after the expansion draft and draft.

True story:

So I'm at the local Canadian Tire, investigating new equipment that might help make the house look more festive. Big hefty fella in his early 30's is 10 feet away in the same aisle texting on his cell phone. He turns and loudly asks the Mrs, who's with him, "How do you spell 'loser'?" In a tone that suggests she's all too accustomed to this type of question, she calmly and slowly replies "L.O.S.E.R." Armed with this information, Bubba is able to finish up the obviously witty message he's been laboring over. His very next move is to step backwards into a shelf laden with glass Christmas ornaments, sending several crashing to their doom. As the young staffer sweeps up the shards, he mutters that it was a poor choice of location to put the glass decorations.

Now I have no particular reason to believe this but, for the rest of the day, I've decided I'm going to assume he was a Hawks fan.

Thanks Carol.

Before Kane and Toews Chicago was the dumpster fire of the league. They weren't even on their local station for a few years. 1998 - 2006 they sucked. All pre cap era. Post cap they have done well. If there was no cap Kane and Toews would be in NY.

It's a glaring hole in the lineup. For sure.

Sven has not helped us win.
Hoping that Rodin can be golden.
Still think that Kane could help us gain.

I would've then had to start the post with "Based on a true story", which I felt may have diminished it a bit. However I think I left enough room at the end there for you to make your own interpretations.
